How It Got Started

I own a polished airplane (a 1946 Globe Swift) and the airport where I keep it (Schellville, near Sonoma, CA) has a lot of polished classic aircraft. So we have a group of pilots who could be called polishing fanatics. And all of us learned to polish the hard way, by trying every product on the market and every technique suggested. 

And we all pretty much ended up in the same place. The products and techniques offered by this web site represent our collective experience. 

I am also indebted to Arlen and Shirley Manning who in the course of polishing their Airstream carefully experimented with every grade of Nuvite and every polishing technique. Their observations produced a significant amount of new information.
